This article will detail how to Insert/Edit a hyperlink [link]. The CMS has 5 options for linking, and each will be explained.
- The first thing you have to do for any link is to highlight the desired text or phrase in your copy, and click on the Insert/edit link button.
⭐ Pro-Tip: when linking, use the 'Open in new window/frame' option, so that the user will not lose the link to your page. - Internal Links: this option is for linking to another page within the CMS. Select the 'Internal' option, and then you can either type the xID or search for the Page Name in the Page field.
- External Links: this option is for linking to any url. Select the 'External' option, and then type/paste the desired url into the External field.
NOTE: In the Target dropdown, we recommend using the option of "Open in New Window/Frame" when linking to an external link/site, as to keep your Morgan webpage present to the end user. - Asset Links: This option is for linking to a document or image. - Anchor Links: This option is for linking to a location on the same page that the user is on. READ THIS PAGE for a detail process on Anchor Links.
- Email Links: this option is for linking to an email address. Select the 'Email' option, and then type/paste the desired email address into the Email field.
- ❗REQUIRED❗ While this field are not marked as required, for ADA/508 compliancy, we do require that you enter a short description of your link in the Title field. Users with disabilities may utilize a screen reader in order to review your page's content. Please keep this in mind as you work with your site's content.
